About the role

We are looking for a Petition Writer to join our Petition Writing Department.
This is not a general content-writing or copywriting position. The role requires strong legal-style writing, analytical thinking, research ability, and the judgment to transform a client's professional background and supporting evidence into a coherent, persuasive, and evidence-based petition.
The ideal candidate is someone who can own a case from analysis through final drafting, identify gaps before they become problems, actively participate in client brainstorming sessions, conduct relevant research, and use AI tools intelligently to improve efficiency without compromising accuracy or quality.

What you'll do

Analyze client profiles, documents, and evidence to develop a clear case strategy.
Draft, review, edit, and proofread petition packages and supporting documents.
Research relevant industries, occupations, markets, and credible sources to strengthen petition arguments.
Participate in client brainstorming sessions, ask questions, and capture information that strengthens the case.
Develop persuasive, evidence-based arguments while maintaining consistency across the petition and supporting documents.
Use HOF's AI-assisted drafting systems and other AI tools to improve research, analysis, drafting, and workflow efficiency
Fact-check AI-generated content and verify names, dates, qualifications, achievements, sources, and other case information.

What we're looking for

Excellent written English with strong legal-style, analytical, and persuasive writing skills
Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate and use credible sources effectively
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, evidence gaps, and unsupported claims
Comfortable using AI tools, with the judgment to verify, fact-check, and refine AI-generated content
Strong communication and client-interaction skills, with the ability to actively participate in brainstorming sessions.

Nice to have

Prior EB-2 NIW petition-writing experience
Experience with U.S. immigration petitions, legal documentation, or legal-style writing.
Knowledge of the EB-2 NIW framework and USCIS requirements.
Experience drafting petitions, legal briefs, recommendation letters, business plans, professional plans, or similar documents.
Experience researching technical, scientific, business, healthcare, engineering, technology, or other specialized fields.
